How to register & what to keep ready

Onboarding with Investment IGST takes about 24-48 hours once your documents are in. Here’s exactly what happens, step by step, and the paperwork to keep handy.

Onboarding journey

Six simple steps from interest to invested

  1. 01

    Express interest

Reach out via the contact form, email, or phone. Tell us a little about your goals, horizon, and the fund you’re considering — Fix Return or Floating.

    Time: 5 minutes

  2. 02

    Discovery call

We schedule a 20-30 minute call to walk you through the fund structure, returns, lock-in, exit terms, and answer every question you have. No pressure, no sales script.

    Time: ~30 minutes

  3. 03

    Receive your onboarding link

You’ll get an email from us with a secure onboarding link, the Client Agreement, and Risk Disclosure Statement to review.

Time: sent within 1 business day of the call

  4. 04

    Complete digital KYC

Upload your documents and complete identity verification. Indian residents can use Aadhaar OTP for paperless KYC; NRI / overseas investors complete a guided document upload.

    Time: 10-15 minutes

  5. 05

    Sign the Client Agreement

Review and digitally sign the Client Agreement and Risk Disclosure Statement. You’ll receive countersigned copies by email for your records.

    Time: 10 minutes

  6. 06

Fund your account & you’re live

Pay via Razorpay (UPI / NetBanking / IMPS / Card) for domestic, or PayPal for overseas / NRI. Units are allotted, your investor portal is activated, and you start receiving NAV updates and statements.

Time: Same-day allotment for cleared funds

Total time: typically 24-48 hours from first contact to live investor account, assuming documents are ready.

KYC checklist

Documents you’ll need

We onboard resident Indian individuals and NRI / overseas individual investors. Pick the panel that matches you. Soft copies (clear scans or phone photos) are accepted for the digital onboarding flow.

Resident Indian (Individual)

Most common — for Indian taxpayers

  • PAN Card — mandatory for all investors
  • Aadhaar Card — for paperless e-KYC via OTP
  • Cancelled cheque or recent bank statement (last 3 months) — to verify the bank account for redemptions
  • Passport-size photograph (recent)
  • Address proof — only if your Aadhaar address differs from current address (utility bill, passport, voter ID, driving licence)
  • Nominee details — name, relation, date of birth, PAN/Aadhaar (optional but recommended)

NRI / Overseas Investor

For investors residing outside India

  • Passport — bio & signature pages, plus visa/residency stamp
  • PAN Card — mandatory for Indian-origin investors
  • OCI / PIO Card — if applicable
  • Overseas address proof — utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued ID
  • NRE / NRO bank account proof — cancelled cheque or recent statement
  • FATCA / CRS self-certification — declaration provided in the onboarding kit

Note: Investment IGST currently onboards only resident Indian individuals and NRI / overseas individual investors. We do not accept investments from HUFs, corporate entities, LLPs, partnerships, trusts, societies, or joint holders at this time.

Helpful to know

Before you start

Soft copies are fine

Clear scans or phone photos work for the digital flow. Originals only needed if specifically requested.

PAN is mandatory

Per Income-tax rules, PAN is required for any investment above ₹50,000 in India.

Bank account must match name

Redemptions are credited only to a bank account in the investor’s name.

Nominee is optional but smart

Adding a nominee makes succession painless. You can update it any time later.

FATCA for NRIs

Overseas investors complete a one-page tax-residency declaration as part of onboarding.

Domestic minimum

₹100 via Razorpay (UPI / NetBanking / Cards) for Indian residents.

Overseas minimum

10 USD + PayPal commission for NRI / overseas investors paying via PayPal. Net amount credited is after PayPal’s fee and currency-conversion margin.

Privacy & data security

All KYC data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Read our Privacy Policy and Trust & Safety page.

Quick answers

Common onboarding questions

How long does the whole registration take?

From first contact to a live investor account is typically 24-48 hours for resident Indians (faster with Aadhaar e-KYC) and 2-4 business days for NRI / overseas investors due to additional document verification.

Do I need to send original documents?

No. The onboarding flow is fully digital — clear scans or photos are accepted. Originals are only requested in rare cases where a specific verification needs them.

Can I start without choosing a fund?

Yes. You can complete KYC and the Client Agreement first, and decide between the IIGST Fix Return Fund or IIGST Floating Fund afterwards. Funding the account triggers the actual subscription.

What if my KYC is already done elsewhere (CKYC)?

If your CKYC is up to date, we can pull it during onboarding to skip duplicate uploads. You’ll still need to sign our Client Agreement and Risk Disclosure separately.

Who can invest with Investment IGST?

We onboard resident Indian individuals and NRI / overseas individual investors only. We do not currently accept investments from HUFs, corporate entities, LLPs, partnerships, trusts, societies, or joint holders. If your situation is different and you’d still like to explore options, please reach out.

Is there an in-person option?

Yes — if you prefer, we can arrange an in-person onboarding at our Vadodara office. Please contact us to schedule.
